Monick Crain
Monick Crain, originally from Brazil, became a proud American by heart and by choice. With a very limited English, she decided to come to America, about 16 years ago, with the dream to go to school and become a nurse. Serving is a big part of her, and a labor of love.
Becoming a nurse and taking care of her patients fulfills her professionally and gives her so much joy. Here she is today, stretching out her dream, even further, to soon become a nurse practitioner. Monick has been serving her community as a nurse for the past 7 years, with background in pain management, medsurg oncology, renal, hospice, and endoscopy with both GI and pulmonology teams.
She achieved her Associate’s degree in Nursing at the University of North Georgia, Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Capella University, and on May 8th of 2022, and will be graduating with her Master’s degree of Science in Nursing from Brenau University.
She currently resides in the beautiful Gainesville, Georgia, with her husband, their two children, and dog. They love the North Georgia life, the so well-defined seasons, going for walks at Lake Lanier, kayaking, etc. Her personal journey taught her to appreciate all blessings and challenges experienced along the way, as these experiences built her character and who she is today.
She is honored to have the opportunity to go through the NoGAPP Residency Program, as she is certain that so much will be learned and experienced to empower her to become the provider her patients deserve to have. She is looking forward to continuing her contributions to the North Georgia community and to become part of the very strong team of providers with MedLink.
